          Many claim to be prophets and apostles of God today, but what does Scripture say about the end of the age of the prophets and apostles?

          These self-anointed prophets or apostles claim to speak for God and that their office is still around today. As a proof text, they cite Ephesians 4:11-13, but have added my own emphasis to make points. The Apostle Paul wrote that God “gave [past tense] the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the sta
